BMX Lathe Project
BMX Lathe details coming soon! Here are more pictures:
I rebuilt an Exhaust Manifold for a Sailboat for a customer. It was made of all galvanized steel and I replace it with stainless steel. I made a custom plate with screw holes and through hose as well as counter bored hole for an angle pipe fitting in which I utilized my CNC Milling Machine for the base and the angled hole into the pipe. I used my Tig Welder to weld everything together.
With this project I had to open up the bore and cut it deeper so it would sit on top of the taper flush on the bottom on the inside of the breather.
I made a rear axle shaft custom turned and threaded on my lathe. This was made out of Titanium which is almost 80% stronger than alloy steel and close to 50% lighter.
This was an odd and challenging project. With my lathe I cut round threads on square pieces. My CNC Mill milled and cut a circle profile on the brass pieces and milled square pieces and drilled on the CNC Mill matching pieces.
