These are dust covers for the trotter wheels of a harness racing assembly. One bearing dust cover was lost so we had to make a new one. Mark used his Lathe to modify these ATV Spacers to make a wheel size adjustment. This customer was changing his wide 4 wheeler tires to narrow tires. He had spacers to make the narrow tires the same width as the wide tires. The spacers locate on to the centering ring of the hub. But the inside of the hole of the spacers was to narrow. So Mark bored the backside of all of the spacers…

This was an odd and challenging project. With my lathe I cut round threads on square pieces. My CNC Mill milled and cut a circle profile on the brass pieces and milled square pieces and drilled on the CNC Mill matching pieces.
I made a propeller shaft and cut custom threads on my lathe for prop and also tension shafts. Prop was coarse thread and tension shafts were fine thread. This was done for a Barrier pilot shaft that wanted to build a boat that would go into shallow waters.
